Piledriver Podcast #100 - WrestleMania 32 Post Show!

WrestleMania went off the air and at midnight the fellas from the Piledriver Podcast went LIVE to talk about the Granddaddy of them All. We had friends call in and lend their thoughts as well. Tons of laughs and fan insight! It's our day, it's WrestleMania!

Sidenote: I know I said we recorded Episode 97.5 so we could make this Episode 100. Episode 97.5 is actually 98 since there was no Hall of Fame episode so this one is 100. Get it? Got it? Good. Like, Comment, Share, Subscribe!

Would You Pay to See The Rock and Triple H at WrestleMania?

After The Rock's epic surprise during Raw, cameras caught up with The Rock visiting Triple H in Triple H's office. During their stroll down memory lane, reminiscing the days where one would outshine the other, the exchange became very tense. So tense in fact that a challenge was thrown down to which both men accepted: Any WrestleMania. Any Time. Any Place. Now the conversation could've been all in good fun but it did raise the question, The Rock vs. Triple H one more time, would you buy it?

Who Says Funny Don't Make Money?

Comedy in wrestling is a time honored tradition. Used to cool down an audience when the drama quota of a show hits its peak or to help bring out the natural charisma of a wrestler, comedy has been a vital part of wrestling. I'm going to take a look at some of the best wrestlers who delivered the laughs and some moments that made us remember why wrestling is so awesome.

How Would You Introduce Someone To Pro Wrestling?

Earlier today I asked a question on Twitter: If someone you knew wanted to get into pro wrestling as a fan, what is the first match you show them? I got a lot of great responses so I figured I share some of them with you.

Legendary: The Perils of Living in the Past

Hmmm, someone at 2K didn't read my Suicida Solution article I wrote a few months ago on www.4crwrestling.com. I wrote that piece just as THQ, the previous owners of the publishing rights of WWE video games  was in the middle of being sold off IP (intellectual property) by IP and in it I offered up some points to consider for the future of WWE games, one of which was the avoidance of relying on the inclusion of legends to garner interest. Given what Yuke's & 2K have announced in WWE2k14's "30 years of WrestleMania" mode, the practice seems to have gone into overdrive. As I said, Hmmm...

Episode 5 of the Piledriver Podcast

Sorry I'm a bit late on posting this week's episode. I'm just getting home from Atlantic City where I caught a WWE Live event. Doesn't matter if you hate this PG era of WWE or not, the live events are amazing. I really had a great time and I would suggest any wrestling fan to go to a live event.

Anyway if you have been checking out the episodes you're in for a special treat because this week I have a co-host!

WWE Main Event Results 3/6/13

Matches:

- Randy Orton defeated Wade Barrett in a Non-Title match
-Cody Rhodes defeated Zack Ryder
-Sin Cara defeated Antonio Cesaro in a Non-Title match

Before the opening bout Barrett showed his appearance on the red carpet for the release of Dead Man Down. After Rhodes defeated Ryder we get a recap of Triple H calling out Brock Lesnar on Raw this past Monday. Lesnar will be on Raw this Monday to answer Triple H's challenge. Sin Cara defeated Antonio Cesaro. Color me shocked. A) It was a good match. B) Sin Cara didn't botch any moves. C) Sin Cara won clean. We get a recap of CM Punk winning the right to face the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. We close out the show with a recap of the Rock and John Cena's first encounter on the Road to Wrestlemania.

So what did you tink of tonight's show? Surprise Sin Cara beat Cesaro? Comment below, Facebook, or Tweet me your thoughts.
