RAW Recap - 6/26/17; Joe Shocks Lesnar and Raw Goes Big Baller!

Raw is live from LA! Lesnar and Samoa Joe come face to face and Lavar Ball is in the house for MizTV!

Roman Reigns kicks off RAW accepting Braun Strowman's Ambulance Match challenge for Great Balls of Fire. Mid promo Reigns is interrupted by incoming ambulance but when he opens the door no one is inside. Suddenly out of nowhere, Braun Strowman attacks Roman from behind. Both men get into a brawl but Braun is too powerful. Braun grabs Roman and tosses him into the side of the ambulance. Braun throws Roman into the ambulance and we go to break.

Back from a break and thank God for the Hardyz who stopped Elias Sampson, Sheamus, and Cesaro from singing us a song.

The Hardyz and Finn Balor vs. Sheamus, Cesaro, and Elias Sampson

Super fun match with action everywhere plus actor Josh Dummel on commentary talking about...something. Either way, give this one a watch, it did not disappoint.

Goldust says he is putting the finishing touches on his masterpiece and the "Golden Age" is back. Seems perfect for LA. We were supposed to get a match between Goldust and R-Truth but Goldie ended up attacking Truth before the bell. Goldust also has a personal cameraman. Interesting.

MizTV w/ Lavar Ball and Sons

Easily the most incredible segment in RAW history hands down.

The Miz, Curtis Axel, and Bo Dallas vs. Dean Ambrose, Rhyno, and Heath Slater

Really hard to concentrate on the match after that glorious Lavar Ball segment but it was good to see Axel and Dallas get a win on Raw.

Enzo Amore came down to the ring to confront Big Cass after Cass was revealed as the person who has been attacking him for weeks. Enzo cuts a very passionate promo willing to let bygones be bygones. Family is family and you don't give up on your family. Cass comes down to the ring and it looks like all is well and good between both men.

Big Cass got me. I fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

Seth Rollins vs. Curt Hawkins

Hawkins got some offense in but did you really think he was going to pull this one out? Bray Wyatt is on the big screen talking about how he is a God and whatnot. For a God, he sure does lose a lot. Looks like we're getting Rollins vs. Wyatt at Great Balls of Fire.

Paul Heyman is out to introduce his client, the WWE Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar. As the Champ is making his entrance Samoa Joe locks in the Coquina Clutch from behind. Lesnar tried his damnedest to break the hold but to no avail. Joe gets a red-faced Lesnar down to one knee before being pulled off by members of the WWE locker room. Joe is looking like a legit threat to Brock's reign.

Neville vs. Lince Dorado

Pretty one sided match with Neville winning with the Rings of Saturn. Akira Tozawa sat at ringside and when the match was over Neville and Tozawa had an intense stare down. Titus O'Neil comes out to announce that not only is Tozawa the newest member of Titus Worldwide, he will also be taking on Neville at the Great Balls of Fire PPV for the Cruiserweight Championship. Should be a good one.

Gauntlet Match for the #1 Contendership to the Raw Women's Championship

Bayley and Nia Jax start things off. Jax in full control but a misstep allows Bayley to almost get a three count with an elbow off the top. Bayley staying on top of Nia working her leg and keeping her on the ground. Bayley went back to the top but got yanked off by Nia. Jax hits Bayley with a Samoan Drop and eliminates Bayley from the match. Mickie James draws number three. Nia dominates the exchange with a bear hug locked in good. James tried using her speed but she is outpowered by Nia. Mickie gets bulldozed after Nia fights out of a DDT attempt. Dana Brooke comes in and gets dropped with ease. Same outcome for Emma. Sasha Banks is the final competitor and she brings the fight to Nia. Banks attempts a dive to the outside but is caught by Jax. Nia looks for a Samoan Drop on the outside but Banks slips out and sends Nia crashing into the ring post. Banks comes off the apron with double knees and we head to break. Back from commercial with Banks still on offense but that gets halted thanks to a stiff clothesline from Nia. Jax seems to be playing with her prey but Sasha keeps fighting back. The no quit attitude of Sasha angers Jax who tosses Banks like a ragdoll out of the ring. Nia is doing a great job working the leg and lower back of Sasha. Nia attempts a suplex but Banks escapes. Nia then tries a leg drop but Banks moves out of the way. Banks comes off the ropes with a wicked Shining Wizard. It is still not enough to put away Jax who is able to fire off one last Samoan Drop. From here it's a fight for Banks to lock on the Banks Statement. Jax tries to fend off the attempt even getting Banks on top of her shoulder but Banks slides down and locks on a modified Banks Statement from a standing position. Banks gets Nia down to both knees and has Jax in a crossbow Banks Statement and Nia taps! Sasha Banks is the #1 Contender for the Raw Women's Championship! What a great match. What a performance from Nia Jax.

Kurt Angle comes down to the ring to congratulate Banks on the win when she is confronted by the Champion Alexa Bliss. Both women get in a stare down with Sasha knocking Bliss out of the ring. I am really looking forward to this match at Great Balls of Fire.

I enjoyed tonight's Raw. From the entertaining trainwreck that is Lavar Ball, Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe get into it again, and Big Cass fooling me this was an easy Raw to digest. I wish Lavar Ball could make an appearance every week though.
