SmackDown Live Recap - 11/15/16

Tonight is the historic 900th episode of SmackDown! Tonight will feature an appearance from The Undertaker and Hall of Famer Edge! The show kicks off with a must see match for the Intercontinental Championship.

Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. The Miz w/ Maryse

Everything you expected from this match you got. Both men are the yin to the other's yang. The match was packed with near falls, counters, you name it. Miz did an excellent job targeting the leg of Dolph and really working it over with the Figure Four. As I was thinking about how the match has been uninterrupted The Spirit Squad come sprinting down to the ring. As soon as they get on the apron they are met with Dolph Ziggler's boot. Miz tries to go for another Figure Four but Dolph reverses it into a small package. From the outside Maryse gives her husband a nudge reversing the leverage of the pin. 1..2..3! Miz is your new Intercontinental Champion!

This Sunday Miz will defend the title against Raw's Sami Zayn.

Oney Lorcan vs. Kalisto

Quick match. Lorcan got to show off his sick lifter uppercuts. Kalisto wins with Salida del Sol.

Heath Slater brings King Booker to deliver a motivational speech to the SD Tag Survivor Series Team.

Nikki Bella vs. Carmella

Thus wasn't a great match but it wasn't bad either. Carmella did an excellent job targeting the surgically repaired neck of Nikki Bella. On the flipside Nikki continues to improve as an in ring competitor. During the match Raw Women's Champion Charlotte comes through the crowd with a ticket to the show. The action spills outside and Nikki Bella takes the opportunity to attack Charlotte. Nikki pulls Charlotte and through the crowd comes the Raw Women's Team who jump Nikki then Carmella. The SD Women's team comes as backup and all hell breaks loose. Nia Jax ends up going through the Timekeeper's barricade while Naomi springboards off the top to the outside. Team Blue sends Team Red retreating.

16 Man Tag Match

Nothing crazy to note about this one. American Alpha wins the match for their team with Grand Amplitude.

The final segment of the show is a special Cutting Edge with WWE Hall of Famer Edge. He calls the Blue Brand Survivor Series Team out to the ring. He lets them know how much SmackDown means to him and how it is important they take the victory on Sunday. *GONG* Here comes The Undertaker. Major message. Undertaker said he will not solely be remembered just for WrestleMania, he is back "taking souls and digging holes". Is The Undertaker back full time?! Taker also lets the SD Team know what SmackDown means to him. It means enough that whomever doesn't get the job done for SmackDown will have to answer to Undertaker personally. That is definitely a warning I would not take lightly. Taker leaves with one more message: Raw will REST IN PEACE.
