Elimination Chamber Preview and Predictions

Here is a preview complete with predictions for this Sunday's Elimination Chamber PPV which will air exclusively on the WWE Network.

Neville vs. Bo Dallas

I am strangely intrigued by this match despite it having a very minimal build up. I like the idea of using their history in NXT as a focus as to why this match came about. I also love the idea of Dallas attacking Neville's leg which is not at 100% right now. If their ladder match at NXT Arrival is any indication of what we can expect from these two then it should be a great contest.

Prediction: I'm picking Neville for this one. That's completely based on the fact that everything Neville has touched on the main roster has been gold. I can't help but think WWE has invested something in Neville as he's already had fantastic matches with Cena and Ziggler not to mention making it to the finals of the 2015 King of the Ring. Dallas may pull out a victory here which could develop into a nice, fresh feud for the two.

Nikki Bella (c) vs. Paige vs. Naomi

Awwww yeah a Divas match! Not really excited for this one. If they really want this whole Divas movement to take off they have to get Nikki Bella the hell out of the title picture. She's just not on the same level as practically any other Diva on the main roster. If any Diva in the now named "4 Horsewomen of Wrestling" get called up from NXT with Nikki still in the title picture she is going to get eaten alive.

Prediction: Just put the belt back on Paige please. Please.

R-Truth vs. Sheamus vs. King Barrett vs. Ryback vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev (?) for the vacant Intercontinental Championship

WWE could not have pick five of the most boring guys right now to add with Rusev in this match. I do find it interesting that R-Truth has been on quite a roll lately. Good for him. I thought I was turning the corner on Sheamus before he was injured but the new look just adds to the fact that he is just boring. King Barrett isn't doing it for me and neither is Ryback, both seem to be stuck in midcard purgatory. Ziggler's body of work has decreased in quality for quite some time and I fear not even Lana can save him. Rusev is the only compelling competitor in this match and at the time of me writing this I don't even know if he is in this match due to an ankle injury suffered at this past SmackDown taping.

Prediction: Here's hoping multiple bodies get thrown into pods. And Rusev, if cleared for the match, rips someone's limbs off and beats everyone with it before winning the IC Title.

The New Day (c) vs. Prime Time Players vs. Kidd and Cesaro vs. The Ascension vs. Los Matadores vs. Lucha Dragons for the Tag Team Championship

This one may steal the show folks. Plain and simple. You've got a cavalcade of high flyers and power guys and when you lock them in a structure like the Elimination Chamber all hell can break loose. Don't blink or you might miss something.

Prediction: It's easier to see why Los Matadores or The Ascension won't come away with the straps but other than those two teams everyone else has a legitimate reason to hold the straps. PTP has been killing it on the entertainment front, Kidd and Cesaro may be the most complete tag team on the roster, Lucha Dragons' popularity increases with every showing, and The New Day has singlehandedly revived the tag division as well as their own individual careers since their formation.

I'm torn. Any of those three teams mentioned above come away with the win I'll be completely satisfied. Watch Kalisto, I think he is going to steal the show.

John Cena vs. Kevin Owens

The buzz around this match. The buzz around Kevin Owens. This could be the match that defines a new era in WWE. Cena has been absolutely killing it every Raw he puts the title on the line. In doing so many have said that the US Title is on the same level as the World Heavyweight Championship. Although this match is a non title contest for both men, the constant battle for something on the line has made Cena must see TV. But this isn't about titles. This is about respect. One wants the other to earn it while the other says they don't need it. Captivating.

Prediction: As crazy as it sounds, to me all signs point to Owens winning. With no titles on the line and Owens now becoming a permanent member of the main roster Cena winning does nothing. In fact it may hurt Owens to lose because the easiest way to build him as a success is to continue to make him look like a heartless monster. That idea is dead in the water if he loses his very first match in a WWE ring With Owens the monster you can do a lot more in the long run. Plus it means more US Title defenses from Cena with more possible surprises. I can't wait for this one.

Seth Rollins (c) vs. Dean Ambrose for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

This is going to be a great match. It has history, bad blood, and great in ring chemistry. Those who dig deep know the stories of Ambrose and Rollins having classic battles in FCW which is definitely what we can see Sunday. As long as it doesn't get bogged down by outside interference or other shenanigans this should be pretty solid.

Prediction: If you think WWE is really going to kill Rollins' title reign this Sunday I want to know what drugs you are taking. It ain't happening. You have a better chance seeing Ambrose hit a flawless Nigel Lariat before he walks away with the title Sunday.

There you have it folks. Should be a solid show and if you haven't signed up for the WWE Network the WWE has given it away for another free month so get on that. Make sure you tune into the pre-show as well. Daniel Bryan will be the special guest on a MizTV segment.
