HobosGhost's Scavenger Hunt - That's Not PG Owen!

Good day to you all and welcome to the Scavenger Hunt with me, Simon "HobosGhost" Knowles! Each week I compile five clips and the Hunt is available every Friday! Not running out of clips yet, far from it! Let's begin with...

WCW Worldwide
31st January 1998
Ultimo Dragon vs Macho Man Randy Savage

A little TV match from WCW Worldwide between recent WWE Hall Of Fame inductee Randy Savage taking on Ultimo Dragon! This match took place just after the WCW Souled Out PPV where Savage lost to Lex Luger. Savage would go on to win the WCW Championship at Spring Stampede and join up with Kevin Nash and others as part of NWO Wolfpac.

Ultimo Dragon still to this day holds the record for most Championships held at one time. From December 1996 to January 1997 he held ten Championships consisting of the J Crown (a combination of eight Championships from various promotions), the NWA Middleweight Championship and the WCW Cruiserweight Championship.

With the heel actions of Miss Elizabeth outside the ring, Randy Savage makes short work of the Dragon!

OVW
21st October 2006
OVW Women's Championship Match
Beth Phoenix vs Victoria Crawford

Here we have Alicia Fox taking on Beth Phoenix in OVW when it was WWE's developmental territory in 2006! Alicia is going by her real name of Victoria Crawford in this bout. Having debuted as a special guest referee in July 2006 Alicia made her wrestling debut in a Battle Royal in September. She stayed in OVW until 2nd September 2007 when she was transferred to Florida Championship Wrestling.

Beth Phoenix was signed by WWE on October 2005 but started working for OVW after being invited to a try out by WWE in May 2004 where she remained until getting called up to the main roster in 2006. Injury to her jaw forced her to take 2 months out when she reappeared on OVW TV until getting recalled to RAW on 9th July 2007.

The beginnings of Alicia Fox's WWE career 9 years ago!

FCW
13th October 2011
FCW Tag Team Championship Match
CJ Parker/Donny Marlow vs Briley Pierce/Brad Maddox

Here's a tag match featuring recently released NXT wrestler CJ Parker from 2011! CJ was trained by ROH personality Truth Martini and began wrestling for IWA-MS in 2008. He was signed by WWE in 2011. Here we have him and his Co-Tag Champ Donny Marlow who would later be Camacho and is currently signed to TNA as Myka. CJ and Donny won the FCW Tag Championships from Big E Langston and Calvin Raines on 21st July 2011, 13 days after Parker debuted in FCW.

Briley Pierce is the younger brother of Dolph Ziggler who was with WWE in FCW/NXT for two years before being released in 2013. He trained at OVW before that having won a competition to get a years paid scholarship. Brad Maddox and Briley Pierce would go on to defeat Parker And Marlow for the FCW Tag Championships on 3rd November 2011.

The early days of the Moon Child CJ Parker!

NWA Smokey Mountain
4th August 2011
ROH Championship Match
Davey Richards vs Chase Owens

A good solid match here between current TNA star Davey Richards taking on the former NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Chase Owens!

Davey Richards is much decorated Champion. Having held the ROH and PWG titles once each as well as being a Tag Team Champion in TNA, ROH and PWG (holding each title 3 times coincidentally), Richards is no stranger to title matches. While ROH Champion he started defending the belt on other companies shows including this one for NWA Smokey Mountain.

His opponent is Chase Owens who late last year lost the NWA Jr Heavyweight Championship to Jushin "Thunder" Liger on the NJPW Power Struggle event. Trained by Ricky Morton Chase Owens appeared on an episode of WWE Smackdown in 2012 losing to Ryback in a handicap match. At only 25 years old Chase started wrestling aged 17 in 2007. He is considered one of the top stars in NWA. Experience defeats youth but a really good pure wrestling match between these two!

And finally...

WCW Power Hour
5th March 1991
Owen Hart vs Rip Rogers

Who would have thought Owen Hart appeared in WCW? And who would have thought he would get the crowd to chant an offensive chant at Rip Rogers? Yes we end with Owen Hart in a brief stint in WCW leading the crowd to chant a word that rhymes with maggot towards the flamboyant current Ohio Valley Wrestling trainer Rip Rogers in Owen's debut in WCW!

Owen Hart appeared on WCW TV and house shows for the whole of March and beginning of April having left the WWE in 1989. He went on to appear in NJPW for the rest of April. Owen Hart didn't appear on any WCW PPV's. Owen rejoined WWE in November 1991 teaming with Jim Neidhart as the New Foundation.

In hindsight Owen Hart's career could have been very different if WCW had kept hold of the King Of Hearts!

That concludes this week's mixed bag of treats for you! I hope you have enjoyed this weeks episode! Take a look at the other 38 episodes if you are a newcomer! You can say hi on Twitter to me or TWC any time!

Until next Friday Hunters! Have a great week!
