HobosGhost's Scavenger Hunt - A Pat on the Back For Buddy Rogers!

As random as Seth Rollins genitalia being a talking point on Twitter, it's the Scavenger Hunt exclusive to TWC! I am HobosGhost and I bring you five clips each week for you to digest and expand your wrestling knowledge (or in some cases make you wonder what you just watched). Let's see what is on this weeks episode!

1st October 2005
AJ Styles vs Roderick Strong

Kicking off with the first match from the debut appearance of TNA on Spike TV as AJ Styles takes on Roderick Strong! Having left FOX Sports in 2005 after their TV deal expired and wasn't renewed TNA agreed a deal with Spike. This episode was shown on 1st October 2005 but was recorded on 27th September.

Roderick Strong actually wrestled 30 matches for TNA between 2003-2006 as well as one more match in 2010 while working for ROH. AJ Styles was an intricate part in the build up of TNA from the start and the two show their skills in a short yet excellent match. The debut match of TNA on Spike TV!

PWF Northeast
13th August 2011
Taeler Hendrix vs Mistress Belmont

A great womens match that I personally enjoyed as former TNA Gutcheck winner Taeler Hendrix battles the bizarre Mistress Belmont in a loser leaves town match.

Mistress Belmont started her career in 2004 and is a former PWF Tag Team Champion as well as the current CW Women's Champion and NECW World Women's Champion. With her finisher called the Slave Driver, Belmont wrestles in the North East of USA and occasionally in Canada.

Taeler Hendrix never really got a chance to shine in TNA but is developing a career on the indie scene appearing around the country. This match took place before Taeler joined Ohio Valley Wrestling where she was a 3 time OVW Women's Champion. Gingerlicious is punished by the Slave Driver!

3rd June 2012
FCW Heavyweight Championship Match
Seth Rollins vs Richie Steamboat

Now I plan episodes of the Scavenger Hunt a couple of weeks in advance, so it is totally coincidental that Seth Rollins features with whats happened recently. Here we have Seth as the FCW Heavyweight Champion as he battles Richie Steamboat, the son of Hall Of Famer Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat! Richie was in WWE developmental between 2009-2013. Previous to that he got training with Harley Race, George South and the NOAH Dojo at various times in his career. The second ever FCW Grand Slam Champion by winning the Heavyweight, Tag Team and the Jack Brisco 15 Championships at various times, Richie suffered a back injury in 2012 and was still under contract until late 2013. Steamboat's co-tag team champion was Seth Rollins defeating Damien Sandow and Titus O' Neill on 25th March 2011. Just over one year later here they are battling for the FCW Championship!

30th June 1961
2 out of 3 Falls
NWA World Heavyweight Championship Match
Buddy Rogers vs Pat O'Connor

Here we have Triple H's favorite who sadly isn't on the WWE Network yet, so I will help Paul out! Buddy Rogers is in full heel persona here while defending the NWA Championship! The ending to this match apparently came abruptly due to O'Connor legitimately hurting himself missing the dropkick but Rogers was due to win anyway. Very old school match in black and white!

And finally...

Memphis Wild Fire Wrestling
18th December 2014
Jerry " The King " Lawler vs Jeff Jarrett

We conclude with a Southern Championship tournament match pitting Jerry Lawler against Jeff Jarrett! Jeff makes a reference to Lawler and underage girls before the match starts and the action is what you would expect it to be from these two veterans. I don't need to type much, the crowd seem lively! The King battles Double J one more time in Memphis!

That concludes this week's episode! Hope you have enjoyed it! Feel free to leave feedback/say hi on Twitter either to me or TWC! Don't forget to tune in next week for more plus look through past Scavenger Hunts to see what you may have missed! Until next time, have a nice day!
